Frequently Asked Questions

How much are your puppies?

Our puppies start at $2,500 for pets with AKC Limited Registration. Limited Registration still allows you to enjoy and compete in fun activities such as agility, obedience, dock diving, scent work, and more. If you’re interested in a show prospect or breeding potential, please reach out to us directly to discuss availability. The first step, though, is to fill out a puppy application

At what age do you allow your puppies to leave?

Our puppies are ready to join their new families starting at 10 weeks of age. The exact timing depends on how each puppy is maturing individually, as every pup develops at their own pace. We never let puppies go earlier than this, as we believe that extra time with their mother and littermates is so important for healthy social and emotional development.

Do you give vaccines?

Before going to their new homes, our puppies are thoroughly checked by our veterinarian, dewormed several times, and receive two sets of vaccines. We provide all veterinary records and paperwork to their new families at pickup.

Do you offer a guarantee?

We put every effort into raising healthy, happy puppies. Because your veterinarian knows your family and lifestyle best, we ask that you schedule a wellness exam with them within 3 days of bringing your puppy home. While we don’t offer a formal written guarantee — since many health and behavior issues can be influenced by environment and care — we absolutely stand behind our puppies and our program. If a concern ever arises, we want to know. Open communication helps us improve and ensures we can work together to find the best solution. Our commitment doesn’t end at pickup; we’re here to support you and your puppy for the long run.

Can I pick out which puppy I want?

Because we breed to continue improving our program, we reserve first pick, which is usually made around 8 weeks of age. When we talk with you, we ask that you share honestly about your home life, what you’re looking for, and the goals you have for your puppy. With that information, we can guide you toward the puppy that will be the best fit for your family and lifestyle. Sometimes more than one puppy may be a good match, and in those cases you’ll have the opportunity to choose. Our biggest priority is that you are happy with your new companion, because bringing home a puppy is a lifelong decision.

Do you use Puppy Culture?

We don’t currently use the Puppy Culture program, though I’ve considered looking into it. What I can say is that with over 20 years of experience in animal rescue — often raising litters from pregnant dogs with completely unknown backgrounds — I’ve had the opportunity to raise and socialize many puppies over the years.

From that experience, I’ve developed my own approach and continue to build on it. I believe puppies should be introduced to as many positive experiences as possible before going to their new homes. Transitioning to a new family is already a big change, so my goal is to prepare them well in advance so they don’t also have to adjust to everyday household sights and sounds on top of it.

Our puppies are gently exposed to grooming, people of different ages, cats, other dogs, car rides, a variety of surfaces, and common household noises. This helps them grow into confident, well-adjusted companions who are ready to focus on bonding with their new families.

Do you allow visitors?

For the health and safety of our puppies, we limit in-person visits. Instead, we love sharing regular photos and videos on our social media so you can watch them grow and see their personalities shine. Pickup typically takes place at our home, giving you the opportunity to see their environment in person. We’re also happy to talk through individual situations and will gladly work with families on a case-by-case basis when needed.

Do you ship puppies?

We prefer that families pick up their puppies in person whenever possible. Many of our past puppy families have happily traveled several hours — and even from out of state — to meet us and their new puppy. We love this option because it gives you the chance to meet us face-to-face, spend time with the puppies, and see where they’ve been raised. If pickup isn’t possible, we can sometimes help arrange transport at the buyer’s expense.

Will you let me use your stud with my girl?

Stud service is only offered to those we know personally or who come referred by trusted connections, and who share our commitment to putting the best interests of this beloved breed first. While we’ve met many wonderful doodles — including some amazing ones belonging to family and friends — we do not support intentional poodle crossbreeding. Our focus is on preserving the purity of the breed and continually working to improve poodles for future generations.
