Welcome to Erisse! We are a small hobby breeder of AKC Miniature Poodles. Our babies are part of the family. They are raised indoors, sleep with us, and participate in life with us. We believe in health testing our dogs and raising puppies to have been exposed to as much as possible so that they may be well-rounded pups when they go home.
Our Story
Poodles have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My parents had toy and miniature poodles throughout my childhood, and later brought home their first standard. From the start, I was drawn to breeds that were intelligent, trainable, and full of flash, so the poodle has always been the perfect fit for me.

For over 20 years, my husband and I devoted ourselves to animal rescue, primarily with herding breeds, though many poodles and poodle mixes also passed through our doors. Witnessing the temperament struggles and physical issues caused by careless breeding inspired me to become an advocate for protecting and preserving this magnificent breed. While I no longer foster as much as I once did, I remain a strong supporter of our homeless pet community and believe wholeheartedly that shelters, rescues, and responsible breeders must work together to end puppy mills and backyard breeding. Supporting your local animal shelter makes a true difference. If you’re searching for a purebred puppy, I encourage you to research carefully and choose a breeder who is deeply committed to the health and future of the breed.

Growing up, I watched the Westminster Dog Show with admiration and dreamed of one day stepping into the show ring. In 2018, that dream became a reality as we became involved in the dog show community. Our daughter began showing in Juniors, assisting both us and other handlers of multiple breeds. Over time, we competed with Miniature Poodles, Border Collies, and Chinese Cresteds. My first champion — who later earned the title of Grand Champion — was a Chinese Crested, a delightful little boy who will always hold a special place in my heart; however, my poodles have always been where my true devotion lies.

Ultimately, I chose to focus solely on poodles so I could give my full attention to the breed I love most, without spreading myself too thin. Today, we are proud members of the Greater Kingsport Kennel Club and the United Poodle Association. To me, nothing compares to the bond between a poodle and their person. They connect with your soul and have a way of wrapping you completely around their paws. This is the breed that captured my heart, and it’s the breed I am honored to share with you.
